Patrick Goodwin

Bio

Mr. Goodwin is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois, the United States District Court, and the Northern District of Illinois. He has represented clients in corporate, contractual, intellectual property, and consumer-rights related litigation.

Mr.Goodwin graduated with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science from Indiana University in Bloomington.

Mr. Goodwin graduated from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. There, Mr. Goodwin was an executive editor of The John Marshall Law Review. Additionally, Mr. Goodwin served as an extern to the Honorable William Taylor; served as an extern to the Chief Immigration Judge of the Chicago Immigration Court; spent a summer working and drilling with the Army JAG Corps; worked as a clerk in the John Marshall Veterans Legal Clinic; and participated in moot court regional competitions in Las Vegas and Brooklyn.

Mr. Goodwin is a published author. His published piece, The Hobbs Act Through the Rivera-Rivera Looking Glass: A Mere Intrusion Upon Basic Fundamental Federalism Principles?, can be found in the Fall 2010 edition of THE JOHN MARSHALL LAW REVIEW, 44 JMLR 237. Mr. Goodwin has several other writings in the works.

Mr. Goodwin is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and Le Tip Lakeview.

When not working, Mr. Goodwin enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and cheering on his beloved Indiana sports teams.
